More 'orange' needed in Brown's 'green' budget

The Chancellor, Gordon Brown, has included ?green? measures in this year?s budget in an effort to remind the public of his green credentials, tackling climate change by reducing carbon emissions. Consequently the most fuel-efficient cars will remain at zero tax, while those in band B will enjoy a cut in road tax from ?50 to ?35. Gas-guzzling vehicles, like 4×´s an some uneconomical large cars/people-carriers, will be hit, with the existing ?210 top rate of road tax increasing by 30% to ?300.
