This year?s PBR has announced immediate increases in fuel excise duties for petrol and diesel of 1.25p per litre. Biodiesel and bioethanol fuels are also affected (although the 20 ppl tax advantage remains). The tax on natural gas used as a road fuel will increases by the petrol equivalent of 1.25p per litre, and for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), the increases is 2.25p (marginally reducing the previous tax advantage of LPG as compared to petrol).
